Meet the Doctor

Dr. Ricardo Diaz is a native of San Antonio, He is an alumnus of St. Mary’s University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. After graduating from Dental School in 1983, he voluntarily joined the United States Air Force and served our country for 11 years. Dr. Diaz was on active duty during Desert Storm.

He is a Board-Certified Specialist in Periodontics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He has extensive experience in all areas of the treatment of gum disease and focuses his practice on this specific area of area.

To obtain Board Certification, Dr. Diaz successfully completed comprehensive oral and written examinations given by a panel of internationally respected periodontists. The examination covered all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment including dental implants. Board certification represents the highest recognition of achievement by the periodontics specialty and indicates expertise in the field of periodontics.

Dr. Silie Arboleda is a periodontist with dual specialty training in Colombia and the United States. She earned her DDS from the University of Cartagena and completed a Certificate in Periodontics from the University El Bosque in Bogotá, Colombia. After relocating to the United States, she pursued advanced training from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she obtained her Master of Science and Certificate in Periodontics.

With more than a decade of clinical and academic experience, Dr. Arboleda specializes in periodontal disease, periodontal plastic surgery, dental implants, and regenerative therapies. She has authored several scientific publications, with a particular focus on inflammation and periodontitis.

She is passionate about evidence-based, patient-centered care and is dedicated to helping her patients achieve lasting oral health. Beyond her professional life, Dr. Arboleda enjoys spending time with her husband, Ivan, and their son, Enzo.
